Oral Surgery in Dortmund

Board-certified oral surgeon at WiloHealthCube – surgical procedures at the highest level

Surgical expertise in your dental practice

At Puls' Zahnmedizin in Dortmund-Hörde, a board-certified oral surgeon regularly performs surgical procedures in our practice. From implantation and bone grafting to wisdom tooth removal – all procedures are digitally planned and performed in a familiar environment.

Our 3-Step Implant Concept

1

Step 1: Planning by your dentist

Your dentist creates a three-dimensional CBCT scan and plans the implantation digitally. The position, angle, and depth of the implant are precisely determined before the surgical procedure takes place.

2

Step 2: Surgery by the oral surgeon

The oral surgeon performs the surgical procedure based on the digital plan. Through template-guided implantation (guided surgery), the highest precision and minimal tissue trauma are achieved.

3

Step 3: Prosthetics by your dentist

After the healing phase, your dentist fabricates the final dental prosthesis. Thanks to the shared digital infrastructure and single-source planning, the prosthetics seamlessly match the surgical restoration.

Frequently Asked Questions About Oral Surgery

Who performs the surgical procedures?

All surgical procedures are performed by a board-certified oral surgeon — a dentist with four years of additional surgical training. The surgeon visits our practice regularly, so you don't need to be referred to an external clinic.

What is a board-certified oral surgeon?

A board-certified oral surgeon (Fachzahnarzt für Oralchirurgie) has completed four years of specialized surgical training after dental school. They specialize in implant placement, bone augmentation, sinus lifts, wisdom tooth extractions, and root tip resections.

Do I need to go to a separate clinic for surgery?

No. The oral surgeon operates directly at our practice in the WiloHealthCube. The entire treatment — from digital planning through surgery to prosthetic restoration — takes place under one roof.

How does aftercare work following implant surgery?

Aftercare is coordinated by your dentist. He monitors the healing process regularly and provides the final prosthetic restoration after the healing period (typically 8–12 weeks). For any questions, we are your permanent point of contact.

What does Guided Surgery mean?

Guided Surgery is computer-assisted, template-guided implant placement. Based on your DVT scan, a 3D-printed surgical guide is created that dictates the exact position of the implant. The result: shorter procedures, less tissue trauma, and a predictable outcome.
